Textbook Buyback
I was originally gonna do another “Finals Suck” comic, but my experience at the Bookstore today needed to be documented. This strip is a little exaggerated though – since all I got was $5 (FIVE). But, it’s cash – I had to take it.

Thats why i sell my books on Amazon bro (:
I only see an email and bank statement when its online. I must see the cash IN-HAND!
After which they sell both for 200 each :/
I swear you follow me around and write comics about my own life. I’d just like to add my own painful textbook buyback story to this…bought a 52 dollar book. Sold it back today for 82 cents. >:(
This is why I sell my textbooks to frosh etc. I get more money, and they pay less and the bookstore gets none! All my textbooks are $150+ and then the bookstore will give like 20$ so not cool….
This is the biggest thing I don’t miss about college. Those damn textbooks were always such a rip off and the campus bookstore was the worst! What a racket they run there.
*sigh* couldn’t even sell any of mine back because they are all ‘custom editions’ that change semester to semester. And now have to buy $500 of the same crap for next semester. 😛
I normally take the cash I get from books and buy me a non ramen lunch
I bought two books for 265 dollars at the beginning of the semester…sold them both for $23 🙁
i wouldve paid you 50
Amazon! Srsly!
I still have books i refuse to sell back because of the horrible ratio of how much i paid compared to how much they’ll give me back
I’m in the same boat, even though I graduated five years ago. I’d rather keep the textbook.
Somehow this year the buy your books back van treated me well. I gave them my geography book that I spent 13 bucks for and bitch gives me 25 bucks back. Almost doubled my money back, got an A in that class, never used the book once. #prostatus
Bigwords dot com is pretty good too. Though, like you, I had to learn the hard way…
Sometimes its not worth it to sell on amazon. My school offered me $40 for a book when it was going for $5 on amazon. That’s right 40 CASH-IN-HAND =D
I will be building a funeral pyre with my books. I will have a ritualistic burning of them when I am done with school of the ones I couldn’t sell.
